My Approach to Therapy

Holistic.   Integrative.   Collaborative.   Somatic.   Individualized.

Every individual is completely different and there is no one-size-fits-all treatment! I am an integrative therapist which means I will draw from multiple theoretical orientations, modalities, and techniques depending on your unique individual needs. We will work together collaboratively throughout your therapy journey, as you are the expert on yourself, your experiences, and your needs. The mind-body-spirit connection is powerful and I believe a holistic approach to therapy is key for treating the whole person. I specialize in EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and I also offer somatic (body-based) techniques and other experiential modalities to help you explore where trauma and emotions may be stored in your body so you can regulate your nervous system. I believe nothing is wrong with you. I am not looking for ways to "fix" you. I will walk alongside you and support you on your journey of self-discovery so you can reach your goals and thrive!

We may use some combination of any of the these techniques & modalities based on your unique needs and preferences. As always, you are ultimately the expert on yourself and you are in control. We never have to do anything you are not comfortable with!
